WCOTA History

Founded in 2019, the Windham County Trails Alliance (WCOTA) is a mountain bike club with a mission to create and maintain multi-use trails throughout the Windham County. Our current primary focus is in Bellows Falls, where we've been working tirelessly to expand the Oak Hill Network which offers intermediate biking trails.

At WCOTA, we believe that trails not only provide outdoor adventure but also foster a sense of community and appreciation for nature. As an official chapter of the Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA), we are proud to be part of a larger community of like-minded enthusiasts, sharing resources and expertise to further the development of mountain biking opportunities in the region.

Our vision stretches beyond Bellows Falls. We envision a future where Windham County becomes a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with an extensive and interconnected trail system that offers diverse experiences for hikers, trail runners, and cyclists alike. Through partnerships with local communities, landowners, and outdoor enthusiasts, we are committed to expanding our trail network to showcase the natural beauty and recreational potential of Windham County.

Whether you're an avid mountain biker, a nature lover seeking adventure, or someone who simply wants to support our cause, we invite you to join us in our trail-building efforts. Together, we can create a legacy of sustainable trails that will be enjoyed by generations to come.

Join WCOTA today and be a part of the trailblazing journey to elevate Windham County's outdoor recreation scene. Let's ride, connect, and explore the beauty of our region, one trail at a time!
